Welcome to Patty Bushland, who joins the TAPVI Board as a Board Member at Large, 2019-2022.
Patty and her husband live in Austin with their five children. Their youngest daughter Mary Rose has been completely blind since birth. She received a diagnosis of Lebers Congenital Amaurosis (LCA) when she was 4 months old. She is excited to be entering the 7th Grade at TSBVI this fall. Mary Rose enjoys singing, piano, theatre and swimming!

FOUNDER | MINNESOTA NAPVI | 2008 – 2012
- Founder of Minnesota chapter of NAPVI (a 501(c)3 organization).
- Organized numerous workshops on relevant topics for parents of children with visual impairments
- Planned multi day conference with speakers from across nation for parents
- Led multiple family events for those impacted by visual impairment
- Helped organize fundraiser to support organization
- Partnered with Minnesota State Academy for the Blind on various events
- Provided direct 1:1 support for families impacted by visual impairments
